About my aviation career
I have over 24 years experience in aviation. I started my aviation adventure in 1990 in the US Navy. I was in VF-14 which was a Grumman F-14A squadron. I was in Desert Shield/ Storm and worked on the Prat & Whitney TF-30 afterburning engines. I later moved on and worked for Mesa Airlines for 12 years. I worked on the Beechcraft 1900D for a few years working my way from floor mechanic to crew lead then day planner/ RII (inspector). I transferred to their pilot school in 2001 Mesa Pilot Development where we had a number of Bonanza A36's and a couple Baron B58's. I was the Maintenance manager there for about 5 years. Let me tell ya when you have zero time pilots starting in a Bonanza A36 I was able to learn quit a bit about them. For an example they bought brand new Bonanzas in 1982 and we were selling them with over 20,000 hours on them. No that's not a typo 20,000. I was in ABS magazine for our outstanding maintenance program. After they shut the doors I moved to another flight school/ rental company out of Broomfield, CO and was the Director of Maintenance, we had a lot of different planes, Cessna 150, Cessna 172s, DA-20s, DA-40, Piper Arrow, Piper Archer's, Piper Seminal, and even a TB-20. I again came back to Farmington NM and helped a small charter company get started with there 135 certificate with 2 Cessna 414s. I decided it's time to help people with their aircraft maintenance needs myself.
